Congratulations to 2023 All-District Band Percussionists

I would like to congratulate all of my private percussion students who took the 2023 All-District Band Auditions on January 7th.   Going through the process of taking this audition is a win for any student whether they actually make the ensemble or not. 

Having said this, I want to give a shout out to my private students who made it this year...

Middle School:  Finn Murphy and Amber Cao

*High School: Ben Schirmeier, Myah Tokajer, Ryan Healy, Nikhil Kuntipuram, Ethan Moore, Tommy Worden, John Farrell, Jianwen Ding, Jack Morgan, Harry Lue, and Lili Thamasett

*9 of the 14 high school percussionists selected for the 2023 District 12 All-District Bands were private students of mine, which makes me very proud.   As far as I know, at least 4 (maybe 5) have qualified to audition for All-State Band and Orchestra.  Good luck at All-Virginia auditions Ben, Myah, Nikhil, and Ryan!
