Ji-Hoon Lee
Ji-Hoon Lee was born in Jeonju, Korea. Mr. Lee began studying piano at the age of six, and began intense study of percussion while attending Daejeon High School of the Arts. His musical education continued at the Vienna Music University in Vienna, Austria, where he studied with Dr. Walter Veigl. Mr. Lee has performed his own compositions for solo percussion at the Linz Marimba Festival, the Salzburg Music Festival, and the Luxembourg Wallz Music Festival in addition to numerous percussion ensemble performances throughout Europe.
Mr. Lee's work, Into the Memory, was first runner-up in the Solo Percussion category of Doug Wallace Percussion's 2008 Composition Contest.
