Mao Zhu and Students

Mao Zhu (born in 1981, Sichuan, China) is a teacher of orchestration and composition at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music.  Ms. Mao's music has been performed by various groups and individuals, and at festivals and conferences throughout China and other countries.  She has won a variety of awards, grants, and commissions, including a "Sun River Prize" Student New Composition Competition Chamber Music Award, and the Shanghai Spring Festival International Accordian Composition Contest New Music Award. 

 

 Ms. Mao won the 2008 Doug Wallace Percussion Composition Contest in the Percussion Ensemble category for her work, Kotekan.
