DWP Announces Composition Contest Winners!

Doug Wallace Percussion would like to congratulate the winners of the 2008 Percussion Composition Contest:
Percussion Ensemble Category:
Winner - Kotekan by Mao Zhu (Sichuan Province, China)
First Runner-Up - Enter the Master by Jamieson Carr (Newport News, VA)
Second Runner-Up - Theatric No. 4 by Casey Cangelosi (Hyde Park, UT)
Solo Category:
Winner - Power Outage by Timothy Feerst (Vienna, VA)
First Runner-Up - Into the Memory by Ji-Hoon Lee (Daejeon, South Korea)
Second Runner-Up - The First Suite for Solo Snare Drum by Roberto Galli (Mozzanica, Italy)
Winners received $500 and a Publication Contract, and Runners-Up were offered a Publication Contract with Doug Wallace Percussion. The winning pieces will be available in our Winter, 2008 Publications Catalog. Thank you to all who entered. The judges had to work hard to choose winners from among the many high-quality entries. We hope to receive even more entries in 2009!
